Using stories to help children name, understand, and share emotions.

Children rarely announce their feelings. They show them.

Stories give feelings a safe container. When Lumi flickers with worry, a child can point at the page instead of the ache in their chest.

Read slowly. Pause and ask, have you ever felt like that? Then simply listen. Naming a feeling is often the first step to easing it.
